Setting goals may seem like a walk in the park and it is actually. The problem comes when you are not able to fulfill them. If you set goals that way below your standard, you will have a problem with yourself because you will not feel like you have really done something special. Goals are set so that they can be achieved. Anything that is less than that is not very important. If you set goals that you are not able to achieve, you will be easily discouraged in life and you may not try to work on anything else again. You will only feel sorry for yourself which in many case leads to depression. Unachieved goals may have so many consequences in the life of a person. Everyone has their level of energy and you need you gauge yourself and know how much you can stretch. Look at how much you cam be able to achieve within a short time and compare with what you will make in a longer period working at the same rate. If your calculations get you where you want to be, then go ahead and do what you need to do. Goals are supposed to be fun. Look for something that you have passion in and work towards perfecting it. It you set goals outside your area of specialty, the chances of failing are very high. Say for example you are a computer expert; you need to set goals towards that direction, say you would like to open a computer software company. If you divert from that cause and decide to open a clinic that treats people, the chance of failing to achieve your goal is very slim. Do not overwork yourself. As much as time is important, you need to set the time that is comfortable but not too comfortable for you.
